What do you consider the perfect first date? There are many answers to that question….. a kiss, good conversation, a connection, sex or maybe even the promise of a second date. For this article, were going to consider the second date as success.
But , first you have to have a successful FIRST DATE and that can be difficult.
So, how do you make sure that you get that second date?

Perfect planning of the first date.
There is nothing worse than going out on a first date with someone that did not put any effort at all into the evening. Find out a few things about your date and then show her that you care by honoring her. Planning is the key to a second date. A little planning could set you apart from the last “jerk” she dated.

Your personal hygiene.
Nothing says “I simply do not care” more loudly than bad breath or body odor. If you like someone well enough to ask them out on a date, then you should like them well enough to at least shower and brush your teeth before you show up.

But, don’t go overboard with the cologne. Just remember – K.I.S.S.

Dress for success.I
If you know that you are heading to dinner and a movie, then dress accordingly. Don’t show up to a nice place in a t-shirt and ratty jeans and expect to be welcomed with open arms. If your date shows up in a nice dress and heels, you will know right away that you might be in some trouble.

Don’t show up empty handed.
A small tasteful arrangement of flowers or a box of chocolate is a nice touch, it may seem old fashioned. I know this is so “old school”, but it shows you have a true interest in making this first date successful.
Mind your manners.
Basic courtesy is always in your best interest. Examples of great manner habits include:
1. Hold doors open
2. Open the car door
3. Use your napkin
4. Don’t talk with your mouth full
5. And ladies, LISTEN to him!
6. Pick conversations of general interest (guys -no cars or sport and girls – no makeup or fashion)

Pay attention.
If your date is talking about something boring, try not to let your mind wander too far away. As soon as a man looks up with that deer in the headlights look, we know that he has not been listening. Remember, pick topic of general interest…. Stay away from politics!

Make eye contact.
This is not the same as paying attention, but the two do go hand in hand. Look at your date, this shows him that you are confident and comfortable. AND trust me, this is extremely attractive….. There is nothing sexier than a man/woman that is confident!

Ask questions – show interest.
Along with paying attention and making eye contact, you need to connect with your date. Ask and answer questions, let her know a little bit about yourself. Show her that you actually like being there with her.

The final moment.
This could easily be the most difficult period of the whole date, but don’t lose focus. Watch her does she seem interested in you? Did you laugh together? Was the conversation engaging? Was there a mention of other dates?

STAY FOCUSED: Should you “kiss the girl”? If you answered yes to these questions then “YES” kiss the girls, show her your confident side. A nice light peak is the great ending to a successful first date.
